The first generation

I was talking to my son last week and he mentioned a stunning revelation. Baby boomers are the first generation to raise children who have access to modern day social media. 🤯 No wonder we don’t know how to manage this monster that has new, promising and ominous characteristics. This is hard. Misinformation is rampant. Mental health is compromised by strangers who attack self confidence from a distance. News outlets are on offense racing to be the first informant without full conformation.

Social media and handy telephones have robbed dinner table conversations, road trip singing, and face to face meetings.

I have made a u-turn as I continue to address health literacy. I am now focusing on educating young adults in a whole different approach. I learned from my son, reality is compromised and truth is hard to find.
