I’m Back

It’s a new season. And what a season it was. Although life kept “life-ing”, I was able to finish my Doctor of Occupational Therapy, concentrating on Health Promotion. This season has so many lessons, I spent the last month reflecting. And now I’m back with a renewed purpose for expanding health literacy information.

Today I am grateful for the lessons learned. I have spoken to many patients who voice the same concerns: I don’t understand what this [health report] is saying; I don’t know what I should do, I don’t know what is covered.

Digital health has become a large topic for patients. As we are forced to move from paper to phone, the health divide is widening.

In this new season digital health will be a large topic in discovering how to help close the health literacy gap.
