As I am starting to build, and promote this community focused business, I received notice my fulltime position was eliminated. Of course that was a shock. I am having to pivot. As I reflect, when the VP was talking to me, I couldn’t exactly tell you what he said. It made me think about patients and families. Difficult conversations make it difficult to receive and/or act on information. If I were to use a best practice technique during my VP meeting, I would have written things down and asked him to stop and explain. This simple activity can bring understanding and clarity for future decision making. Don’t be afraid to stop,write,ask.
