Real conversations

I was talking to someone who was recently admitted and discharged from the hospital. Among other eye opening statements was the statement; “I’m taking this extra salt pill but I don’t know what for..”. This is confirmation to continue to work on community education to improve health literacy. The goal of my ministry is to empower patients (consumers of healthcare) to ask questions, to rid patients of shame , to provide resources to help achieve both of those goals. I’m here to help you ask the right questions and to make sure you get answers you can understand.
